This computer lab consists of 16 - Dell Optiplex
755 SF (233 GHz 2 GB RAM), with 17-inch flat panel monitors. Computers dual boot Win XP Pro / Fedora Core 8.
Available peripherals include an Epson Perfection
1650 scanner.
The computers are also equipped with DVD/CD-RW drives and the
Roxio Creator Plus software. The lab has a networked HP
inkjet 2250 and an HP 2200dn, a black & white duplex laser
printer.
In the ceiling is mounted a Sharp XG C50XU
Notevision LCD projector.
These PCs run software for introductory classes
in geography, as well as more general software and special
request software.
This lab was funded with Student Technology
Fees.

Software Installed in Lab 153
Lab 153 is accessible to undergraduate and
graduate geography majors in the department and to students
in geography classes which currently use the room for instruction.
The room is set up for projection of computer screens, overhead
transparencies or slides, and may be reserved for instructional
labs.
